Profiling Breast Cancer

Molecular diagnostic technologies have unveiled a better understanding of cancer biology through the minute characterization of the cancer-responsible genes.

Therefore, using molecular diagnostics to identify the genetic profiles of the disease has significantly helped the development of more effective, because more specific, cancer treatments. Corollary, most clinicians now prescribe the most effective therapy depending on the specific alteration of genes expressed in a patient’s tumor.

With more than 60 products available on the leukemia market, Ipsogen is now focusing on a new area and launches a new molecular diagnostic solution, MapQuant Dx™ aiming at profiling breast cancer.

First test in the series, MapQuant Dx™ Genomic Grade accurately measures tumor grade from the expression levels of 97 key genes discriminating low vs. high grade tumors.

Today, Ipsogen’s products and services are available in Europe thanks to a professional manufacturing and marketing organization, as well as a reliable distribution network.  Ipsogen R&D efforts are based on both internal research and international collaborations.  For instance, Ipsogen is an active player in European collaborative research networks including EAC (Europe Against Cancer) and COBRED.
