IPSOGEN's tests use PCR quantitative technology (polymerase chain reaction), which allows to detect and measure in a precise and highly sensitive way, the presence of molecular abnormalities in the cancerous cell, from a simple blood or bone marrow specimen.
Before its launch, each test is validated by independent clinical studies demonstrating its reliability and clinical strength.
The main products in the Company's catalogue are divided into 4 main families: BCR-ABL, JAK2, PML-RARA, and a last one that includes products for the molecular diagnostics of rare leukemia forms.
The first three product families have very recently become the diagnostic standards in leukemia. These tests are recommended by learned societies for the management of leukemia patients.
Certain products such as the JAK2 MutaScreen™ kit allow screening for genetic abnormalities and provide critical information allowing confirmation of blood disease or precise classification of the disease into a specific category, while others, such as BCR-ABL FusionQuant™ or IS-MMR kits are used after diagnosis to evaluate therapeutic response and disease progression.
They provide precise measurement of the presence of circulating cancer cells and are frequently used, throughout treatment of patients, in order to provide physicians with information about therapeutic success or failure as well as to indicate a potential emergency comprising resistance to treatment.
IPSOGEN has other products used in the diagnosis of rarer forms of leukemia but which nevertheless provide clinicians with a complete solution. This wide range of tests allows molecular monitoring and classification of many forms of leukemia.
Thanks to the importance of the its product range and the number of hematologists using its products, IPSOGEN is today the world leader in the leukemia molecular diagnostic field.
